Assistant Nursing Officer of Psychiatry & Mental Health Support

The Assistant Nursing Officer of Psychiatry & Mental Health Support is a key member of the hospital clinical team. He / She delivers safe, competent, individualized patient centered holistic care to an optimum level by utilizing nursing process. Provides general nursing care in the Psychiatry & Mental Health Support area. Assesses & Evaluates patients and ensures that the clinical expectations and performance in these Wards, resulting in excellent outcomes.

Education and Experience profile:

• Diploma in General Nursing or Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing from recognized Institution/ University.
• Post-basic Diploma qualification in psychiatry is preferred
• Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council. 
• At least three (3) years of experience in the Uganda Healthcare setting.
• At least 1 (one) year of experience in area of specialty.
