Medical Officer of Cardiology

The Medical Officer will be involved in the care of the patients within the Cardiology Ward but also those of  CCU and Cath Lab, and all the OPD Clinics belonging to the Cardiology Unit. They will perform the guard shifts, will conduct physical examinations, take patient medical histories and interpret the results of diagnostic tests. They will also cooperate to coordinate patient care with other specialists within ISHU. Participation in research activities and health data collection will be mandatory.

Education and Experience profile:

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• Can be a general practitioner, can be recently specialized or still attending the M.Med. in Cardiology or equivalent.
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
• Demonstrated professional experience of at least one (1) year in the Ugandan Healthcare System.
