Nursing Officer of Anaesthesia/ ICU/ PICU

The Nursing Officer for Anesthesia/ ICU/ PICU is a key member of the hospital clinical team. He / She delivers safe, competent, individualized patient centered holistic care to an optimum level, by utilizing nursing process. Assists in the management of the Intensive Care Units (ICU/PICU) during the assigned shift for the clinical care of patients and operation of the units. Plans, directs and coordinates anesthesia services in the hospital, sets and carries out policies, goals and procedures for the department; evaluates the quality of the staffs work and develops reports and budgets. Assures that the needs of the patients and doctors in the ICUs and associated areas are met resulting in excellent outcomes. Serves as the acting Nurse Supervisor during their absence. The incumbent will ensure transparency in all matters pertaining to facility.

Education and Experience profile:

• B. Sc. Degree in Nursing essential
• Post Graduate Diploma in Critical Care will be an asset
• Must be registered with Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council
