About the job Nurse Supervisor Coordinator of OPD Clinics
The Nurse Supervisor Coordinator for the OPD Clinics is a key member of the hospital clinical management team whose primary role is to oversee the nursing care provided in all Out Patient Clinics, has 24/7 responsibility for the clinical care of patients and operation of the clinics, manages Enrolled Nurses, Assistant Nursing Officers and Nursing Officers. Plans, directs and coordinates medical and health services. Sets and carries out policies, goals, and procedures for the department and evaluates the quality of the staffs work. Develops reports and budgets for the OPD. Assures that the needs of the patients and doctors in the Clinics and associated areas are met, resulting in excellent outcomes. Serves as acting Head Nurse as assigned. The incumbent will ensure transparency in all matters pertaining to facility.
Education and Experience profile:
- B.Sc. degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University essential
- Must be registered with Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council
- Post Basic Diploma preferred
- Minimum five (5) years as Registered Nurse in In-Patient wards
- At least two (2) years as Nursing Officer in OPD
