About the job Nursing Officer of Imaging
The Nursing Officer is a key member of the hospital clinical team. He / She delivers safe, competent, individualized patient centred holistic care to an optimum level, by utilizing nursing process. Assists in the management of patients within the Imaging department during the assigned shift for the clinical care of patients and operation of the units. Plans, directs and coordinates medical and health services, sets and carries out policies, goals and procedures for the department; evaluates the quality of the staff’s work and develops reports and budgets. Assures that all doctors with patients on the unit are satisfied with the nursing care provided to their patients resulting in excellent outcomes. Serves as the acting Nurse Supervisor during their absence.
Education and Experience profile:
- B.Sc. degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University
- Post graduate Diploma in Nursing is an asset
- Must be registered with Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council
- Must attend and being certified with radiation protection course
