Senior Consultant of Neurosurgery

The Senior Consultant of Neurosurgery will be responsible for leading and providing high-quality surgical care for patients with neurological conditions. This includes diagnosing and performing complex neurosurgical procedures, managing post-operative care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans. The Senior Consultant will also play a key role in mentoring junior medical staff, contributing to clinical research, and ensuring adherence to the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance.

Education:

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University
• A M.Med. in Neurosurgery (or equivalent)
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council

Experience:

• Minimum of nine (9) years of work experience in Neurosurgery in a general, regional referral or national referral hospital
