About the job Consultant of NICU

The Consultant will provide clinical care focusing on neonatal intensive care, special care and care of the new-born. Working with other members of the unit, they will be expected to participate in the appropriate teams activities with the objective of providing a high standard of clinical practice and clinical expertise, providing efficient and effective childrens health services for the ISHU, with particular responsibility for care of the new-born including level 3 and 4 intensive care provision.

Education

  • A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University
  • A specialization in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, with board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council

Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in Neonatology

Profile

  • Proficiency in English
  • Must be concern in ethics and integrity
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Proven experience in handling complex neonatal cases and using advanced neonatal technologies.
