The Lab Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (Radio-pharmacy) is responsible for the preparation, quality control, and handling of radiopharmaceuticals used in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role involves ensuring the safe compounding, storage, and distribution of radioactive materials, adhering to strict safety and regulatory protocols. Working under the supervision of a Radio-Pharmacist or Head of Nuclear Medicine, the Lab Technologist plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of quality and safety in radiopharmacy operations.
Education and Experience profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiopharmacy, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiopharmacy is preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a medical laboratory or radiopharmacy setting.
- Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the Ugandan Allied Health Professionals Council
