Nurse Supervisor - Ward Manager (Senior Nursing Officer) of Emergency Medicine

The Nurse Supervisor Ward Manager of Emergency Medicine is a key member of the hospital clinical management team whose primary role is to oversee the nursing care provided within the Emergency Medicine, has 24/7 responsibility for the clinical care of patients and operation of the units, manages Enrolled Nurses, Assistant Nursing Officers and Nursing Officers.  Plans, directs and coordinates Emergency Medicine nursing services. Sets and carries out policies, goals, and procedures for the department and evaluates the quality of the staffs work. Develops reports and budgets for their Unit. Assures that the needs of the patients and doctors in the Emergency Medicine and associated areas are met, resulting in excellent outcomes. Serves as acting Head Nurse as assigned. The incumbent will ensure transparency in all matters pertaining to facility. 

Education and Experience profile:

• B.Sc. Degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University essential
• Must be registred with Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council
• Post Basic Diploma in Emergency / Critical Care preferred
• Minimum five (5) years as Registered Nurse in Emergency Department
• At least two (2) years as Nursing Officer
