Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynecology

The Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynecology will be mainly involved in the care of the obs&Gyn patients. They will perform guard shift and take part to the work shift in the OPD Clinics belonging to the Unit. They will also coordinate patient care with other specialists within ISHU. The Consultant can also attend periodic meetings with the Head of the Unit, other surgeons, oncologists, radiotherapists, radiologists and anesthetists to evaluate which procedures perform for the different patients belonging to the Unit. The desired Consultant shall be a blend of technical skills and positive personal attributes. The Consultant will also have outstanding clinical and teaching skills. Furthermore, compassion, respect and integrity are just some of the personal attributes required.

Education and Experience profile

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• A M.Med. in Obstetrics & Gynecology (or its equivalent).
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
• Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Demonstrated professional experience in at least one specific field of Obstetrics & Gynecology
