Medical Officer of Pediatric Unit

The Medical Officer of Pediatric Unit will be involved in the care of the patients within the main ward and the well newborn nursery, but also in the OPD Clinics belonging to the Unit. They will perform the guard shift, they will conduct physical examinations, take patient medical histories and interpret the results of diagnostic tests. They will also cooperate to coordinate patient care with other specialists within ISHU. Participation in research activities and health data collection will be mandatory.

Education and Experience profile:

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
• Has less than 3 years of Hospital activity 
• Has proven professional experience in the Uganda healthcare setting
