About the job Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Officer

The IPC Officer is a key member of the infection prevention and control team, responsible for implementing and monitoring IPC protocols to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety. This role includes conducting surveillance, educating staff, and supporting compliance with IPC standards. The IPC Officer collaborates closely with clinical teams, housekeeping, and facility management to drive adherence to best practices and create a safe hospital environment.


Education and Experience profile:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Diploma in Clinical Medicine, or health science related from a recognized Institution/University essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree will be an advantage.
  • Post-basic Diploma/Certificate/Training specific to Infection Control essential.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the field is preferred.
