Consultant of General Cardiology

The Consultant autonomously performs ward rounds, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He/she reports daily to the Head of Unit about the most recent or serious cases in the ward. The Consultant participates to the work shifts within the OPD Clinics of the Cardiology Unit, according to their field of interest and expertise. The Consultant will attend periodic meetings with the Head of Cardiology Unit, cardiac surgeons and anesthetists to evaluate which procedures to adopt for the various patients belonging to the Unit.

The Consultant will have outstanding clinical and teaching skills. Finally, he/she will apply all the procedure to minimize the risk of infections in accordance with Infection Prevention and Control Service and Quality & Safety Department.

Education:

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• A M.Med. in Cardiology (or equivalent).
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.

• Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in Cardiology

Job Skills:

• Proficiency in English
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Must be concern with ethics and integrity
