Medical Officer of Allergology

The Medical Officer of Allergology will be involved in the care of the patients within the Allergology Clinic, but they will also be called to give specialistic consultation for inpatients in the wards and in Day case area under the supervision of a Consultant. They will conduct physical examinations, take patient medical histories and interpret the results of diagnostic tests. They will also cooperate to coordinate patient care with other specialists within ISHU. Participation in research activities and health data collection will be mandatory.

Education and Experience profile:

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University.
• Can be a general practitioner, or still attending the M. Med. in Allergology / Immunology or equivalent.
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
• Demonstrated professional experience of at least one (1) year in the Ugandan Healthcare System.
