Anesthetic Officer

The anesthetic officer will be responsible for administering anesthesia and managing patients in the theatre and post-operative patients. They will ensure safe surgery and handle emergency cases in theater that may arise from time to time.

They will coach and mentor nurses in managing theater patients, ensuring presence and compliance to SOPs in the theater, preparing and submitting daily and monthly reports to the Head of Anesthesia and ICUs.

Finally, they will cooperate with the Infection Control Unit and Quality Department to prepare suitable procedures to minimize the risk of infections in the Unit and to ensure the correct application of the same.

Education and Experience:

• Must have an Higher/Advanced Diploma in Anesthesia from a recognized Institution. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Anesthesia will ba an advantage.
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration,) with the Ugandan Allied Health Professionals Council
• Demonstrated professional experience of at least 1 (one) year in the Ugandan Healthcare System.
