Senior Consultant of Oncology

The Senior Consultant of Oncology Unit is a highly experienced medical professional responsible for providing comprehensive clinical management, leadership, and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality oncology services, ensuring compliance with international best practices and standards. The Senior Consultant is also tasked with mentoring junior staff, contributing to research initiatives, and driving quality improvement programs within the unit.

Education and Experience profile:

• A MB.Ch.B. or its equivalent from a recognized University
• A M.Sc. in Oncology (or equivalent)
• Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) to the Ugandan Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
• Minimum of nine (9 years) of work experience in Oncology (or equivalent), of which at least 1 in an Oncological Unit
