The Radio-Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, handling, and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear medicine for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This role involves compounding, quality control, and ensuring the safe and effective administration of radiopharmaceuticals, in compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The Radio-Pharmacist collaborates closely with nuclear medicine physicians, technologists, and medical staff to support high-quality patient care, while maintaining strict protocols for radiation safety. Key responsibilities include radiopharmaceutical preparation and dispensing, quality control and assurance, radiation safety and compliance, inventory management, R&D, education and training.

Education and Experience profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or in Science (Chemistry).
  • An M.Sc. or PhD in radio-pharmacy or radio-chemistry is an advantage.
  • Any additional training and certification in nuclear medicine will be of advantage
  • Must be registered (or meet the requirements for registration, if currently working abroad) with a relevant professional council .
