About the job Data Modeler,
Position Overview: As a Data Modeler, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data models to support our data warehouse, ETL processes, and cloud-based data initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to ensure that our data architecture meets the evolving needs of the business.

Responsibilities:
-Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements and support data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to implement and maintain scalable data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and data integrity, considering factors such as query performance, data volume, and storage requirements.
- Work closely with Business Stakeholders and Data Analysts to understand data requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure data models meet analytical and reporting needs.
- Drive data modernization efforts by evaluating and implementing new technologies, methodologies, and best practices for data modeling, data management, and data governance.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, promoting
- knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) as a Data Modeler or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing data models for data warehousing, ETL, and cloud-based environments.
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling concepts, techniques, and best practices, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, and snowflake schemas.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Platform, with experience in designing data solutions in a cloud environment.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as
- PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical data solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience level 10 +
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
Knowledge of data virtualization and data federation
