Implementation

The individual in this role supervises, monitors, and coordinates the daily activities of employees within a designated work area. They utilize advanced principles, theories, and concepts to integrate activities and provide direction to small, moderate, or large groups, even if those groups are not within their core area of expertise. This requires a high level of skill and expertise in similar or related disciplines.

Essential Technical Responsibilities / Expectations

Must-Have Requirements

  1. Excellent communication & coordination skills with technical requirement capture abilities.
  2. Understanding of Process Documents like P&ID, PFD, ability to read the control loops and interlocks.
  3. Knowledge in Control Narrative-CN, Control Philosophy, Valve Sequence Chart, Operation Sequence Chart-OSC, Control Logic Chart-CLC, Cause & Effect Logic Diagram, Functional Design Specification-FDS etc. for platform Standard supply projects (small scale projects).
  4. Hands on experience in development of PLC, HMI/ SCADA for process equipment based on controls documentation for multiple projects ranging from platform standard supply projects (Small scale project) and EP/EP+ Standard/custom specification (Medium scale projects).
  5. Understanding various protocols ETHERNET, CONTROLNET, MODBUS TCP/IP PROFIBUS, etc
  6. Attended FAT, SAT for equipment system for verifying the PLC-HMI/SCADA w.r.t to process controls documents.
  7. Has experience in Troubleshooting and debugging the PLC Logic and HMI/SCADA.
  8. Reviewing wiring diagrams and electronic configuration of PLC Automation systems.
  9. Understanding of standard programming blocks of water & wastewater treatment equipment like Clarifier, Filters, RO, UF, EDR, EDI, MBR, MBBR etc.
  10. Basic understanding of MCC, VFD fundamentals
  11. Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  12. Ability to understand interface between MCC panel/VFD to Automation system hardwired or soft like MODBUS or Ethernet etc.
  13. Instrument understanding like 2 Wire, 4 Wire, HART, Foundation Field bus etc.
  14. Should be able to read instrument datasheets.
  15. Reviewing & evaluating vendor’s techno-commercial offers.
  16. Handled multiple platform projects for I/O List preparation and Network Architecture review.
  17. Preparation of design deliverables PLC I/O list, System architecture, control system BOQ on multiple platform standard supply project (Small scale project).
  18. Reviewing & evaluating vendor’s techno-commercial offers.
  19. Attended FAT, SAT for equipment system for verifying supplied control system components.
  20. Understanding of how the PLC logic and HMI/SCADA works.
  21. Vendor documents review for system integration.
  22. Ability to understand and interpret vendor packages in terms of Automation and controls requirements. e.g. Vapour compressor, ZLD recirculation pumps, filter press, belt press, dosing skids etc.

Good To Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role)

  1. Able to interpret and follow contract and customer specifications, providing comments/inputs with respect to programming on documents like P&ID, PFD etc.
  2. Strong Knowledge of various protocols ETHERNET, CONTROLNET MODBUS TCP/IP PROFIBUS, etc.
  3. Contributing by verifying the PLC-HMI/SCADA w.r..t to process controls documents during FAT, SAT on multiple projects EP/EP+ standard/custom specification (Medium scale projects) and EPC standard (Large scale projects).
  4. Strong knowledge in Troubleshooting and debugging the PLC Logic and HMI/SCADA
  5. Reviewing and commenting on wiring diagrams and electronic configuration of PLC Automation systems.
  6. On site Experience in resolving troubleshooting PLC HMI/SCADA Programming Issues on multiple projects EP/EP+ Standard/Custom Specification (Medium scale projects) and EPC standard (Large scale projects).

Educational Qualification

1. Engineering Degree Instrumentation & Controls, Electronics Engineering

2. Minimum 8 years’ Experience in Water, Wastewater, Power, Oil & Gas or related Industry.
