Must-Haves:
- Graduate of an ST or LPN program
- Live within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call duty
- Minimum of one-year hospital experience preferred
- Prior Surgical Technologist experience preferred

Position Summary:
Performs assigned scrub duties, assists with patient care, and ensures optimum quality patient care using a team approach. The role involves technical and manual skills under the direction of the Circulating RN, maintaining a clean environment, communicating with charge nurses, participating in continuing education, and applying knowledge of age-related factors to patients.
Minimum Education:
Graduate of a Program for Surgical Technology -or- candidate must have had 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist prior to the requirement of a Surgical Technologist Diploma
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
Minimum Work Experience:
A minimum of one-year hospital experience as an Operating Room Technician with a service orientation and the ability to understand and react effectively to the surgical needs for all patient populations.
