About the job Estimation Engineer
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment for steel fabrication and erection projects.
Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess project requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary project inputs.
Perform quantity take-offs and calculate material requirements for structural steelwork.
Prepare and submit bid proposals and respond to client clarifications.
Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
Monitor project costs and ensure estimates align with budgets.
Maintain and update historical cost data for future project estimations.
Conduct market research to assess current pricing trends and ensure competitive bids.
Assist in project risk assessments and propose cost-saving alternatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in estimation, specifically in steel structure projects.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines..
