Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Filipino Linesman to join our team, addressing the growing demand for electrical infrastructure development and maintenance that will be based in Australia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing high voltage electrical lines and equipment. This role requires technical expertise, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work effectively in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and Maintain High Voltage Electrical Lines: Erect and maintain high voltage electrical poles, towers, and lines to ensure reliable power transmission. This includes installing, repairing, and replacing components as necessary.
• Perform Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of high voltage electrical systems to identify potential faults or issues. This involves checking for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage, and taking proactive measures to prevent failures.
• Troubleshoot Electrical Faults: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions in high voltage systems. Utilize testing equipment and knowledge of electrical principles to identify the root cause of issues and implement effective solutions.
• Operate Specialized Equipment: Safely operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks, line trucks, and testing instruments required for high voltage electrical work. Ensure proper maintenance and adherence to safety protocols while using this equipment.
• Adhere to Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to minimize risks and prevent accidents. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and others.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Lineman Certification: Possess a valid journeyman lineman certification or equivalent qualification demonstrating proficiency in high voltage electrical work.
• Experience with High Voltage Electrical Systems: Have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with high voltage electrical systems, including construction, maintenance, and repair.
• Knowledge of Electrical Theory and Safety Practices: Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical theory, principles, and safety practices relevant to high voltage electricity. This includes knowledge of voltage regulations, grounding techniques, and safety protocols.
• Physical Fitness and Agility: Exhibit physical fitness and agility to perform tasks at heights and in various weather conditions. This includes the ability to climb poles, work on elevated platforms, and lift heavy equipment safely.
• Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles and travel to job sites as required.
