Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Virtual Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the Finance team by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining streamlined operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, process invoices, reconcile accounts, and handle expense tracking.
- Payroll Support: Assist in payroll processing, tax calculations, and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Tax Preparation: Prepare and submit BAS, tax returns, payroll taxes, and FBT returns.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly financial reports, reconcile intercompany transactions, and assist with year-end financial statements.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance, taxation, and statutory obligations.
- Asset Management: Update and maintain the asset register, manage depreciation entries, and oversee equipment records.
- Administrative Support: Assist with bank account management, term deposits, loan facilities, and data entry in accounting systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial support roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including reconciliation, tax compliance, and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
