Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative strategies for communicating to various groups of employees by planning the frequency of and vehicles for communications, and coordinate across different areas of the business and the company.
  • Establish relationships with the leadership team, senior managers, People & Culture leaders, and field leadership, partnering on clear and engaging communications that reflect an understanding of their departments and leadership style.
  • Translate brand voice and business initiatives into stories that interest employees and bring the vision and culture to life while ensuring consistency across communication strategies, aligning internal and external messaging
  • Develop and edit written communication for distribution for various sectors of the business to include corporate communications, field communications and company-wide communications
  • Assists with implementation of strategic communications initiatives to align employees and driver partners with mission, vision, values, and business strategy
  • Transform complex subject matter into coherent, easy-to-understand language
  • Project manage internal communications, strategic plans, and initiatives from beginning to end
  • Track, monitor, and evaluate communications activities and accomplishments to provide feedback and recommendations to leadership.
  • Additional ad-hoc communications projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in marketing, communications, business, etc. preferred
  • 5-7 years of internal communications experience, required; experience in a fast-paced, tech, retail or similar multi-unit industry, highly preferred; high-growth or late-stage startup is experience is a plus
  • Experience owning relationships with executives and driving execution from them
  • Experience working directly with field teams on communication
  • Strong communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to create and edit different types of content
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Proven project management skills and technical competence
  • Ability to produce clean, crisp, and meaningful communications
  • Presentation planning and delivery skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Team player with the ability to adapt quickly and communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Proactive and ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency with multiple initiatives
