Position Overview: As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee the end-to-end accounting process for the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a key role in managing financial operations, preparing financial statements, and supporting the month-end closing process. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining financial integrity and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Accounting:

    • Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
  2. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
    • Generate and distribute financial reports to management, providing insights into financial performance and variances.
  3. Month-End and Year-End Closing:

    • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
    • Review journal entries and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
  5. Compliance and Internal Controls:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  6. Audit Coordination:

    • Prepare documentation and support external auditors during the annual audit process.
    • Address audit inquiries and implement any necessary changes based on audit findings.
  7. Team Leadership:

    • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  8. Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the accounting department and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring timely adjustments to accounting practices.
  9. Financial Analysis:

    • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for operational improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Atleast 6 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in end-to-end accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
