We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales and Marketing Lead to help us expand our client base, strengthen referral partnerships, and increase brand awareness. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected care organisation and play a key role in driving its success.

Your Role What Youll Be Doing

As our Sales and Marketing Lead, you will take charge of business growth initiatives, focusing on sales strategies, relationship management, and brand development. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing strategic sales & marketing plans You will create and implement a structured approach to business development, focusing on increasing client numbers, expanding market reach, and enhancing the companys presence within the healthcare sector.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders Establish long-lasting connections with GPs, hospital discharge teams, healthcare professionals, social workers, local authorities, and case management companies to generate referrals and increase business opportunities.
  • Generating new business opportunities through proactive engagement Actively seek out and pursue leads by attending networking events, joining local business groups, and building professional relationships with community leaders, care brokers, and other relevant contacts.
  • Representing Independent People Homecare at industry events and networking meetings Attend conferences, exhibitions, and local community events to promote our services, connect with industry professionals, and develop new referral pathways.
  • Implement targeted campaigns Work closely with marketing specialists to develop promotional materials, content, and campaigns that effectively communicate our services and attract new clients.
  • Tracking performance and reporting on key metrics Regularly review business development activities, analyse referral data, and report on progress against sales and marketing targets. Provide insights to adjust strategies for optimal results.
  • Driving both digital and offline marketing initiatives Oversee a mix of marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, email marketing, print advertising, and local community outreach, to ensure maximum brand visibility and lead generation.
  • Understanding customer needs and trends to refine sales and marketing strategies Stay informed about the latest industry developments, competitor activity, and client preferences to tailor sales approaches and improve service offerings.

What Were Looking For Key Skills & Attributes

  • A Natural Relationship Builder You have a talent for building trust, rapport, and long-term partnerships with clients, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders. Youre confident in approaching new contacts and fostering productive relationships.
  • Proven Sales & Business Development Experience You have at least two years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships, with a demonstrated track record of success in increasing revenue and securing new business.
  • Marketing Expertise & Brand Awareness You have a strong understanding of marketing strategies, lead generation techniques, and brand positioning. Experience in digital and offline marketing campaigns is a plus.
  • Results-Driven & Self-Motivated You are a highly proactive and target-driven individual who thrives in a goal-oriented environment. You enjoy working independently, setting objectives, and achieving measurable success.
  • Exceptional Communication & Influencing Skills You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to confidently engage with decision-makers, present ideas persuasively, and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinker with a Hands-On Approach You can identify opportunities for growth, create action plans, and execute them effectively. You are comfortable working on both high-level strategy and day-to-day sales activities.
  • Industry Knowledge & Understanding of Healthcare Networks While experience in healthcare, homecare, or social care is an advantage, we are also open to professionals from other industries who have transferable skills in relationship-building and business growth.

Key Role Details

  • Location: Office-based in Chelmsford, Essex, with regular travel required.
  • Hours: Monday Friday, 8:30 am 5:00 pm (occasional evening/weekend networking events).
  • Travel: A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
  • Salary: Basic £30,000 + commission (OTE £60,000+).

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in sales, business development, or partnerships (essential).
  • Licence/Certification: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required).
  • Work Location: In-person (Chelmsford office, with travel for business development).
  • You will need B2B and or B2C experience.
