We are looking for an experienced Unix Engineer to join our APAC Server, Database, and Storage Team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining Unix/Linux environments, particularly Red Hat systems, while supporting automation, security, and system lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Unix/Linux platforms, strong proficiency with Ansible Tower for automation, and hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and end-of-life (EOL) system strategies. Mandarin fluency (reading and writing in Traditional Chinese) is required to support collaboration across regional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage robust Unix/Linux environments with an emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.

• Lead patch management operations and ensure systems remain compliant with security and performance standards.

• Automate system configurations and deployments using Ansible Tower.

• Manage Red Hat Satellite for provisioning, patching, and lifecycle control.

• Administer Red Hat IdM for centralized identity and access management.

• Plan and execute Red Hat system upgrades, with attention to EOL timelines and migration strategies.

• Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams across the APAC region, providing support and aligning on strategic objectives.

• Diagnose and resolve complex Unix system issues to minimize impact on business operations.

• Remain informed about evolving industry practices and technologies related to Unix, automation, and infrastructure management.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Masters degree preferred.

• 10 years of hands-on experience managing Unix/Linux systems, especially Red Hat.

• Proficient in patch management, automation tools, and enterprise system administration.

• Strong command of Ansible Tower, Red Hat Satellite, and IdM.

• Proven track record with upgrade planning and end-of-life strategies.

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and solution-oriented mindset.

• Fluent in Mandarin, with strong communication skills for cross-border collaboration.

Preferred Certifications:

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
