Backend Software Engineer (Remote in HK)

Our client is a multi-national entertainment business looking to onboard various engineers for multiple scrum teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java programming language and experience with the Spring Boot framework. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities:

- Develop high-quality software solutions using Java and Spring Boot

- Design and implement scalable and secure web applications

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

- Proven work experience as a Java developer, preferably with Spring Boot

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles

- Experience with RESTful web services and API development

- Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
