IT Business Analyst - (Global Luxury Hotel)
Job Description:
Exciting new opportunity with a global luxury hotel group who are looking to transform their IT systems and wants to onboard an IT BA to take over and bring the forward the change.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Regularly participate in project alignment and business review meetings.
- Provide weekly technical status updates to the IT operations team.
- Perform business and functional analysis to verify if solutions meet business, operational, and audit requirements. Assist the Project Manager and business users in reporting issues with technical details for troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with various system vendors and the IT team to ensure new Property Management System (PMS) deployment and integration with related systems function smoothly.
- Work with vendors to prepare and update documentation, including user manuals, SOPs, data flow, and system integration diagrams.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, vendors, and IT operations to arrange knowledge transfer, complete service design, and all necessary project handover documents to ensure a smooth transition to operations.
- Support user acceptance testing, parallel runs, and go-live processes.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a business analyst in the Hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of daily business operations.
- Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology is advantageous.
- Bachelors Degree in IT, Business Systems, or a related field.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Strong problem-solving, process management, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in software development is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with hotel and retail operations is an added advantage.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure.
