Trading Systems Support Analyst
Job Description:
Responsible for providing crucial support to Traders and Trading Systems across various exchanges. You will ensure the seamless operation of trading desks by managing daily operations, system checks, and responding to trader queries during trading hours. This role requires strong experience in supporting trading systems (OMS/EMS) and traders, preferably within Institutional Equities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform early morning trading system checks.
- Support daily trading operations for High Touch & Low Touch cash Equities and F&O desks.
- Manage trader queries and requests during trading hours.
- Coordinate with L2/L3 teams on production issues and queries.
- Collaborate with Development teams on production rollouts and software upgrades.
- Monitor the capacity and performance of trading systems.
- Act as a liaison between Traders and the Development team.
- Handle incident management and adhere to change management processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Trading Systems (OMS/EMS) such as Fidessa, GL OMS, or Bloomberg OMS. Experience supporting traders in an Institutional Equities environment.
- Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the Cash Equity business, especially in a DMA/DSA, Agency, and Program Trading environment. Strong knowledge of exchange rules across major Asian markets (Hong Kong, China CONNECT, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, India, Indonesia).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, Perl. Familiarity with SQL, Oracle (user level), and basic knowledge of FIX protocols.
- Experience with Trading Systems monitoring tools like Kibana, Grafana, Logstash, and ITRS.
- Tools: Experience with Change & Incident Management tools like ServiceNow.
- Attributes: Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset. Awareness of SRE concepts and knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Finance or related fields.
