My client is a Tier-1 investment bank. They are hiring a Business Analyst (data governance) to join their Data Governance team.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform the following for Asia FDOs key deliverables (i.e. China Data Quality Tooling Strategy, Asia Data Governance)

• Business analysis, functional/non-functional requirements gathering, and change management
• Business process design, testing, and implementation
• Project management (e.g. progress tracking, reporting, preparation of SteerCo and other governance materials)
• User enablement (e.g. training, documentation, UAT) for FDO tooling and deliverables

SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS

Required skills:

• Bachelors degree, and 3-5 years business analysis experience in projects within large, matrixed Financial Services organizations

• Familiarity with Data Governance and SDLC processes and frameworks

• Excellent communication, presentation, and team-working skills, demonstrated by experience working with stakeholders across front/back office and seniorities
• Excellent Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word) skills, demonstrated by succinct, high-quality analysis and deliverables
• Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to engage with abstract concepts (e.g. taxonomies) and distil complex concepts into simple, actionable details
• Hands-on, proactive, and willing to own tasks as well as work independently.

Other Desired Skills:
SQL, Microsoft Power BI, VBA

• Experience with writing SQL queries to Extract, Transform, and Load data from relational databases

• Experience with developing BI dashboards in Power BI

• Experience with writing VBA to automate Excel-based tasks

• Familiarity with Operational Risk, and Compliance processes and frameworks.

• Business fluency in Mandarin Chinese
