Key Responsibilities

• Maintain & Develop Linux Infrastructure: Ensure 24x7 availability of our Linux environments.
• System Administration: Manage, coordinate, and implement software updates, patches, and hotfixes on servers.
• Support Across Levels: Provide L1, L2, and L3 support for server issues.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve overall system efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teams to design and deploy automation strategies using tools like Kubernetes and Ansible.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Manage virtual environments in AWS and internal VMware ESX environments.
• Server Management: Deploy and manage both physical and virtual servers, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system capacity.
• Disaster Recovery: Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) drills.
• On-Call & Weekend Support: Provide on-call support as needed and scheduled weekend support.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ Years of Experience as a Linux Administrator in complex environments.
• Expertise with Linux (RedHat) in both physical and virtual environments.
• Hands-on Experience with Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu, and AWS infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware (HPE or similar) and architecture.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in developing scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate tasks.
• Cloud Expertise: Experience working with AWS and managing virtual machines.
• Experience with server clustering and Veritas cluster technologies is a plus.
• Windows OS knowledge is an added advantage.
