Position Overview

We are looking for a talented individual based in Hong Kong who has a strong passion for DevOps and is dedicated to achieving results. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Senior DevOps Engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in managing multiple systems maintained by the team, including technology evaluation, collaboration with developers, building solutions alongside the DevOps team and trading system developers, and overseeing migrations.
• Automate developer tools and workflows, including the deployment of trading scripts.
• Develop real-time monitoring solutions to improve the efficiency of IT teams across the organization.
• Design and optimize data pipelines to provide real-time and historical data to Quant and Trading teams.
• Offer technical leadership and mentor junior team members.
• Engage in continuous improvement practices, including providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Make a meaningful impact on how technology is delivered and managed within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a comparable role.
• Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and coordinate efforts across teams.
• Proficient in development languages such as Python, Golang, and shell scripting, with an emphasis on automation and standards-based solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience in mentoring or managing teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Linux systems and managing software on Linux.
  • Containerization and orchestration technologies, including runtime platforms.
  • Monitoring systems for performance and reliability.
  • Relational databases and data storage solutions.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems.
