A leading proprietary trading firm with offices in Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai, and Chicago is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Technology Services team.

This role will work closely with trading support and development teams to ensure high-performance, highly available, and secure network infrastructure across multiple global offices.

This is an onsite position based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites
• Manage Cisco routers and switches, including configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Administer and optimize FortiGate firewalls (policies, routing, VPNs, VDOMs, security profiles)
• Manage FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralized configuration, logging, and reporting
• Perform advanced network troubleshooting, including packet capture and protocol analysis
• Coordinate with data center providers on rack layouts, power, cross-connects, and media types
• Work with telecommunications carriers on leased line provisioning, testing, and handover
• Support HP Synergy and Supermicro server environments, including uplink and fabric connectivity
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and asset records
• Ensure network security best practices and compliance standards are maintained

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP, UDP, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, static routing), NAT
• Experience with Wireshark, TCPDump, and traffic flow troubleshooting
• Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, HA, VDOMs, and security policies
• Experience using FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
• Good understanding of Linux or Windows environments
• Experience with data center infrastructure, cabinets, power redundancy, fiber/copper cross-connects
• Experience working with telecom carriers for circuit provisioning and troubleshooting
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications (CCNA / CCNP)
• Fortinet certifications (NSE4 / NSE5 / NSE6)
• Experience in financial services, trading, or low-latency environments
• Mandarin and Cantonese language skills are an advantage
