Job Summary: Our client is seeking a hardworking, experienced professional to oversee the operations of the Southwest Regional Electrical Business Unit. This position will be based out of Phoenix, AZ. This is an exempt, salaried position, reporting directly to the Southwest Regional Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Safety

  • Actively promote Safety as the Companys top priority.
  • Implement and maintain the company safety program with the help of the Safety Director.

Sales and Marketing

  • Provide input for Business Unit activities and projections with Business Development.
  • Responsible for maintaining an appropriate workload to achieve your Revenue, GP, and NET Business unit requirements.

Operations and Management

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Electrical Industry, and ability to prepare bids/pricing in collaboration with the estimating group.
  • Responsible for job profitability within predetermined company GP parameters.
  • Responsible for all operations activities within the Electrical Business Unit, including obtaining and maintaining electrical licensing for the Southwest Region.
  • Ensure all operating costs are being monitored closely and maintained within budget as compared to revenue.
  • Responsible for developing and growing the management, supervision, and skilled workforce within the Electrical Business unit.
  • Maintain, monitor, and look for continuous improvement in all aspects of safety, quality, customer service, and productivity.
  • Focus on core employee retention and reducing turnover by maintaining a high level of employee engagement.
  • Work closely with the HR department to ensure all employee issues and concerns are handled effectively.
  • Coordinate with all corporate departments and Business units to ensure all company policies & procedures are being followed.
  • Oversee maintenance of vehicles and equipment in conjunction with Maintenance Dept.
  • Responsible for all Electrical Business unit asset management.

Financial

  • Plan and implement annual forecast and budget in conjunction with the Regional Director.
  • Meet or exceed the net profit target as established above.
  • Submit Capital Requests as needed.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years previous experience in a management position in the mining or construction industry required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Knowledge and ability to provide analysis of finances, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Must possess excellent negotiation, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional level communication and interpersonal skills required, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Electrical licensing in the Southwest Region.
