Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise campers in a variety of watersports activities, including kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and swimming.
  • Teach campers the basics of watersports, focusing on technique, safety, and water safety awareness.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants, following all camp guidelines and water safety protocols.
  • Maintain equipment, ensuring its in good working condition and ready for use.
  • Engage with campers to encourage teamwork, skill development, and water confidence.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of special camp events, themed days, or water-based challenges.
  • Foster a fun, safe, and supportive environment for all campers.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in teaching or guiding watersports (certifications in kayaking, paddleboarding, or lifeguarding are a plus).
  • Strong passion for outdoor activities and working with children.
  • Ability to teach and engage campers of varying skill levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Lifeguard certification (or willing to obtain before camp start) is required.
  • First Aid and CPR certified is a plus.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work well in a team and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all campers.
