Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise campers in a variety of watersports activities, including kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and swimming.
- Teach campers the basics of watersports, focusing on technique, safety, and water safety awareness.
- Ensure the safety of all participants, following all camp guidelines and water safety protocols.
- Maintain equipment, ensuring its in good working condition and ready for use.
- Engage with campers to encourage teamwork, skill development, and water confidence.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of special camp events, themed days, or water-based challenges.
- Foster a fun, safe, and supportive environment for all campers.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in teaching or guiding watersports (certifications in kayaking, paddleboarding, or lifeguarding are a plus).
- Strong passion for outdoor activities and working with children.
- Ability to teach and engage campers of varying skill levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Lifeguard certification (or willing to obtain before camp start) is required.
- First Aid and CPR certified is a plus.
- Must be flexible, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work well in a team and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all campers.
