The Opportunity: We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. You will be a technical reference point for a highly focused team dedicated to building and supporting the long-term growth of our platform. This role is for an engineer who is keen on adopting best practices, thrives in collaborative environments, and is ready to provide technical guidance while shipping high-quality, scalable code.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Technical Leadership: Act as a technical reference for a small, focused engineering team, guiding design, implementation, and automated testing.
• Roadmap Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product stakeholders to refine the product roadmap and plan feature execution.
• Full-Cycle Development: Take an active part in software development, implementing and shipping code while maintaining responsibility for changes through to production.
• Refinement & Delivery: Lead product refinement sessions to ensure solutions are scalable, high-quality, and aligned with both customer and business goals.
• Engineering Excellence: Set the bar for quality by encouraging scalable design, adopting best engineering practices, and ensuring solutions are easy to support.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with new technologies, frameworks, and tooling to improve the overall software development lifecycle.

Our Core Tooling & Tech Stack:

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind CSS
• Mobile: React Native
• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript
• Data: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• DevOps: AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, Git
• Tooling: Webpack, Vite, AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor)

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience delivering scalable software solutions.
• Frontend Mastery: 2+ years of experience building modern apps using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind.
• Full-Stack Proficiency: Deep understanding of the Node.js ecosystem and both backend/frontend associated tooling.
• Database Expertise: Extensive experience in database modeling across both relational (PostgreSQL) and document (MongoDB) stores.
• Architecture: Solid understanding of RESTful API design and experience with large-scale 3rd party integrations.
• Quality Focus: Passionate about automated testing, code quality, and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud computing services (AWS preferred) and CI/CD solutions.
• Communication: Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to advise others on complex technical matters.

Bonus Skills and Experience (Nice to Have):

• Experience with massively adopted applications (100k+ users).
• Mobile development experience with React Native.
• Web development using NextJS with a focus on server-side components.
• Experience managing in-app subscriptions across multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and setting up data-driven experiments.
• Leadership or mentorship experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
