General Manager: Legal Services

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a qualification at NQF Level 7/8 as recognized by SAQA in the field of Law; Certificate for entry into the SMS (Senior Management Service) endorsed by the National School of Government; The requirements for application of Senior Management Services (SMS) include the successful completion of an SMS Pre-entry programme (Nyukela) as endorsed by the National School Government (NSG) before appointment.

Experience: 5 Years' experience at a senior managerial level in Legal environment

Knowledge and Skills: Computer Literacy, Proficiency in the use of legal research tools, Policy Analysis, Interpretation of, and application of the law, Strategic Capability and Leadership, People Management and Empowerment, Programme and Project Management, Financial Management and Change Management and Service Delivery Innovation.

Key Performance Areas: The incumbent will oversee Legislative Compliance; Oversee Litigation management (Legal Risk Identification and Mitigation); Oversee Drafting, Vetting and Review of Contracts; Oversee provision of legal advisory services and manage various resources (HR, Budget and Assets) of the Department.
