Team Leader x2

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a qualification in the relevant field at NQF level 6 as recognised by the South Africa Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in the following disciplines: Public Administration / Business Administration / Economics / Development Studies / Finance / Accounting / Commerce / Social Sciences / Social Security.

Experience - 3 years supervisory experience in Social Security.

Key Performance Areas : The incumbent will be responsible for coordination and supervision of various functional areas within the Local Office; Promote Service Delivery initiatives t improve efficiency; Management of staff at lower levels and Implement norms and standards in the grants value chain.

Knowledge and Skills : Knowledge and understanding of Grants Administration, SASSA's constitutional mandate, relevant policies and legislation; Knowledge and understanding of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations and Practice Notes; Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles; In-depth knowledge of the Social Assistance Act, SASSA Act, and relevant regulations; Knowledge of Policy, Procedure & Standards, Social Assistant delegations and procedures, SOCPEN; Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety
