This is a unique opportunity to join our fast-growing company. This person is the point of contact

between the company and employees for all employee related queries. The HRA needs to ensure

that data relating to all personnel activities are accurately recorded. The role ensures that HR data is

properly maintained thereby ensuring compliance to legislation, SMETA/URSA, company policies and

procedures and minimizing risk for the company.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and perform recruitment functions

• Coordinate succession planning

• Coordinate and perform on-boarding of new appointments (permanent, fixed term contracts and

casual employees)

• Manage time and attendance, including setup and reporting

• Unauthorised absenteeism

• Unplanned absenteeism

• Slack time keeping

• Capture and report on:

• Overtime

• Casuals

• Deductions

• Incentives

• Leave administration

• Prepare and update organograms and tracking of employee movements

• Manage key task administration which include performance assessments

• Coordinate, manage and administration of documentation relating to injuries on duty

• Partake in employment equity activities

• Coordinate and manage all training including induction training

• Coordinate union activities

• Coordinate, manage and administration of disciplinary corrective action and grievance procedures

and documentation

• Manage employee exit process

• Compile HR reports

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in HR administration dealing with at least 200 employees

  • Previous training and experience in Visio, ERS Biometrics, MIE and Afiswitch will be
    advantageous
    • Sound knowledge of labour laws (BCEA, EEA, SDA, LRA)
    The successful candidate will report to the General Manager.
  • Key Tasks – Human Resources Administrator
    • Attend Monthly Departmental Meetings. HR manager chairs and minutes taken by HR
    administrator on a rotational basis.
    • Arrange and Attend Quarterly Workers Committee / Shop Stewards Meeting. HR manager chairs
    and minutes taken by HR administrator on a rotational basis.
    • Arrange and attend annual meetings with suppliers of outsourced services. HR manager chairs
    and minutes taken by HR administrator on a rotational basis.
    • Attend Group HR meeting. HR manager chairs and minutes taken by HR administrator on a
    rotational basis.
    • Attend quarterly employment equity consultative committee meetings. HR Manager Chairs and
    EE secretary takes minutes.
    • Attend Ad-hoc Workshops and Meetings. Chair and minutes agreed per workshop.
    • Create and/or Update Personnel files
    • Perform recruitment
    • Co-ordinate completion / renewal and approval of Fixed term contracts
    • Co-ordinate completion and approval of casual workers contracts
    • On boarding and administration of permanent staff
    • Manage service providers relating to outsourced labour
    • Co-ordinate Induction program and perform HR induction
    • Manage attendance reporting
    • Manage roster
    • Capture and report on Overtime
    • Verify approved allowances are submitted paid
    • Manage leave administration
    • Distribute Payslips / IRP5's / Other staff documents
    • Create and/or update Organogram
    • Manage Key tasks administration
    • Manage documentation relating to injury on duty
    • Perform Employment Equity reporting
    • Manage training plan and execution.
    • Manage the bursary process.
    • Manage to retirement and pension process.
    • Administer Disciplinary Action documentation
