About the job Construction Site Supervisor Civil Engineering (Water and Sanitation projects)
Summary
We are seeking to employ a Construction Site Supervisor to supervise turnkey sanitation
projects. The role involves planning, coordinating, budgeting, and managing the construction
of projects from inception to completion. They are required to handle all construction related
aspects of project coordination and execution and will be responsible for ensuring that the
project objectives are met in terms of quality, timelines and budget.
Responsibilities and Duties
Managing and instructing workers, ensuring safety, and planning work
construction workers and subcontractors
Managing orders and deliveries of construction materials, Completing records for site
reports, and Approving reports.
Setting work schedules,
Ensure safety: Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety regulations
Monitor progress: Track the project's progress and address issues
Ensure quality: Ensure high-quality work and compliance with project plans and
specifications
Plan resources: Plan and allocate resources effectively
Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with project managers, site agent, and other
stakeholders
Report on progress: Prepare and submit reports on project progress
Read and understand drawings, and other technical documents
Train workers: Teach construction workers about site safety practices
Helping project managers plan work, Coordinating construction plans, and Allocating
work.
Client satisfaction
Implement the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and any recommendations
from audits carried out within the project environment
Desired Experience & Qualification
3 Years site agent experience in water and sanitation construction projects
years experience in project management with a good understanding of project
execution, preferably with some exposure to engineering contracting models
Basic level MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Power Point skills required
Intermediary MS Excel and MS Project skills required
A national diploma/ bachelors degree (Bsc. Or B.Tech) or similar in the built
environment (Civil, Construction Management or Chemical)
Proven track record in managing construction projects in water and sanitation
