Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent

7+ years operations & logistics experience

5+ years management-level experience

Own Transport

Detailed understanding and mechanical knowledge of vehicles Nissan UDs will be an advantage

Strong analytical skill

Understanding of vehicle utilization and diesel usage

Willingness to drive company goals and targets and have action plans to achieve targets

Responsibilities: will include but not be limited to

Perform fuel checks on own vehicles and comply with specifications when receiving Fuel from suppliers

Ensure parts are fitted and other consumables comply with manufacturers' requirements

Negotiate with suppliers in conjunction with GMs to ensure outsourced transport rates are cost-effective.

Ensure compliance with suppliers' policy as set out by the Company.

Complete and manage standard vehicle checklist

Compile and Manage standard driver briefing and debriefing checklists. Ensure all briefing and debriefing are done daily

Driver debriefing weekly to discuss performance and driver behavior

Ensure vehicles are serviced according to service schedules and all formal service records are up to date.

Ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of servicing

Ensure that drivers adhere to Company required behaviors

Ensure drivers meet route and time requirements

Manage, monitor, and achieve company goals

o 180% Utilisation on Sales tons

o Vehicle fuel consumption in line with manufacturers' norm

o Vehicles to leave the site at prescribed times

o All orders delivered in full within 48 from the planning date

o Undelivered report to be checked and signed off daily account for all undelivered orders

o Non -deliveries = 0%

Utilize all tracking reports to manage driver behavior and action on any behavior that does not comply with company requirements.

Ensure vehicles arrive at customers at agreed times booking slots to be met

Optimise vehicle loading and off-loading times

Prepare Manage and track the budget for the department

Report daily on value drivers

Ensure drivers are recruited to fill demand and that they possess the skills and qualifications

Ensure drivers are trained according to driver training documents and comply with all food safety standards

Understanding of the Roadshow planning program to ensure vehicles are optimally utilized

Ensure that ALL vehicles are inspected monthly using the correct equipment and that the outcome of inspections is actioned.

Ensure environmental emission checks are performed.
