About the job Senior Bookkeeper
The main purpose of the Bookkeeper role is to maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support overall financial operations. This position ensures the integrity of financial data, assists in financial reporting and compliance, and contributes to efficient cash flow management, supporting companies' financial stability and growth.
Required Minimum Qualification
Matric certificate
Degree/Diploma in accounting/finance
Required minimum experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or similar role
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Maintain accurate financial records by recording all financial transactions, including expenses, income, and other entries in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Process accounts payable and receivable by managing invoicing, payments, and receivables to maintain healthy cash flow and accurate accounts.
Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies quickly.
Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, reports, and budgets for management review.
