The Department of Forestry, Fisheries & the Environment is in search of a seasoned Oracle expert with a passion for leveraging technology to drive operational excellence. We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Specialist Oracle to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing our Oracle systems, ensuring top-tier performance and security, and supporting mission-critical business operations.

Qualifications

  • NQF level, qualification in Commerce/ Information Technology

Experience

  • Worked on all Oracle financial areas of Operations namely Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Bank and Cash Management, and Financial Reporting. Supply Chain Management Control and reporting for more than 5 years.
  • Must have 5 years experience in implementing ERP systems dealing with the change management side of the implementation
  • Must have 5 years of experience in administering IT project implementation of EBS financial systems. Must have experience in engaging auditors on all changes made to the systems.

Duties

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of the performance of the business processes executed across multiple Oracle modules to identify gaps and areas of improvement. To support the business on a functional level with Oracle EBS.
  • Ensure records are kept on systems enhancements and/or Oracle project activities. Provide professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the achievement of functional and organisational objective
  • Implement test plans or coordinate test activities. Perform change management related activities. Coordinate Oracle training for users
  • Assist in month and year-end closure on system Report Monthly on all Oracle Matters
  • Attend all Oracle systems meetings and have engagements with Oracle international through the D IT software development Assist the D IT Software development in any request as far as it relates to our system
  • Accurate and timely reporting on issues. Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Conduct system risk assessments in terms of user profiles and activities.
  • Support the Finance and Supply Chain Management Sections in ad hoc business activities. Support MLRF and the CFO in projects where needed.
