Lead: Corporate Social Responsibility

Introduction

Purpose of the Job: Reporting to Senior Manager: Corporate Social Responsibility, the successful incumbent is responsible for managing the alignment between RAF brand identity, values and its socio-economic commitment of positively impacting on the societal needs of different communities by driving the implementation of social corporate responsibility initiatives within different communities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives

  • Conduct research to determine which focus areas are to be prioritised.
  • Conduct an analysis to establish the socio impact of identified focussed area to decide where there is a much needed inpact.
  • Develop annual Corporate Social Responsibility execution calender in line with the overall annual plan.
  • Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are in place for all CSI programmes and initiatives.
  • Drive the design specification of the identified project and ensure adherence by the NGO.
  • Engage on Community/ Stakeholder sessions to create an awareess of the identified initiaves and its benefits.
  • Regulary monitoring the progress of the in preparing for the state of readiness and handover.
  • Ensure that the organization adheres to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards applicable to non-profits organisation processes.

Programme Management

  • Drive the implementation plan and continously project manage the implementation with by the NGO.
  • Ensure that the administrative requirements are upheld in the implementation of CSI initiatives in order to comply with the annual internal, BBBEE and compliance audits.
  • Proactively manage programme changes and ensure alignment to all the plan, budget and timelines.
  • Plan and set priorities for all elements of the programme.

Policy review and implementation

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policy, procedures and processes.
  • Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.

Reporting

  • Plan proactively to mitigate project risks and report on all issues and associated risks.
  • Monitor and report on the status of project efforts.
  • Develop functional reporting systems, for management, projects or performance reporting.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of corporate social responsibility initiatives, and providing reports.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure that all socio-economic development initiatives are monitored and evaluated accurately and meaningfully, thus demonstrating social impact.
  • Manage relationships with implementing partners and NGOs,and ensure that all grants and disbursements are within budget and paid on time.

People Management

  • Supervise staff in the department to ensure that they achieve their objectives in line with the strategic and divisional objectives of the RAF.
  • Manage the implementation of people management processes and procedures to control/regulate workplace conflict and/or institute corrective measures and consultation processes to address deviations from standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Social Science/ Community Development/ Business Management or related qualification.
  • Relevant 5 - 7 years experience in Corporate Social Responsibility and related environment of which 2 years must be on a supervisory level/ area of expertise.
  • Experience in project management will be an added advantage.
  • Preference will be given to People with Disabilities
