Junior Medical Sales Rep (Trauma) Western Cape
Introduction:
The Junior Sales Representative will be primarily responsible for preparing for all aspects of sales accountability, representing the company as a leader in the industry and the marketplace by promoting our products to the target market of surgeons and healthcare professionals. This will be achieved by meeting sales targets and increasing sales through supporting existing customers and building new relationships with new customers to grow their territory. The candidate will be responsible for communicating with current and new customer accounts regarding various topics including product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs.
The Junior Sales representative will also be responsible for managing any training requirements related to their accounts, inventory needs, and planning to support the Healthcare Professionals and uphold the level of service that is expected from an employee.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Identify target surgeons, and plan and implement appropriate strategy for the territory.
- Work in conjunction with sales teams (both regional and national).
- Callback customers as required to identify sales opportunities and customer service activities.
- Identifies the needs of new prospects and develops the appropriate responses to queries.
- Assists in theatre as and when required by healthcare professionals.
- Assists in developing responses to requests for Quotes and in creating proposal presentations.
- Schedules appointments to present company product offerings & performs field calls for the account and assigned territory.
- Cross-sell additional products as they become available.
- Implements new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively.
- Meeting and exceeding business sales targets.
- Provides forecasts and market research information to divisional management as and when required.
- Acquires a basic understanding of the field to include regulatory compliance issues.
- Consistently supports compliance and the principles of responsibility (SAMED) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements, and Companys policies and procedures.
- Assists in the resolution of any problems that arise on the account.
- Maintains training in sales skills and products.
- Remains current and up to date on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
- Participates and attends sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.
Minimum requirements:
- Relevant Bachelors qualification in a relevant field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Medical Device Sector is preferred, Trauma/Orthopaedic experience would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with HCPs would be advantageous.
- Adaptability to changing schedules, and requirements.
- Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments.
- Drivers license and own transportation.
- Willingness to work on call hours during weekends and at night
- Basic Computer Skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
