Our client in the mining sector is looking for a Mining Engineer to join their team.
Location: Postmasburg (Northern Cape).

Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering.
· GCC Mine Manager Certificate (Alternative).
· 2 years’ Supervisory or Management Experience.
· 6 years’ Mine Engineering experience within an opencast mining environment.
· Professional Status: ECSA (advantageous).
· System Skills: Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, Microsoft Office, Mine Planning Software, Geology Software.
· Behavioral: business acumen, leadership skills, relationship building skills, results driven personality and change management skills.
· Technical: Mining Competency A.
· Valid code B driving license.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Business intelligence and trend analyses.
· Functional process optimization.
· Provide strategic functional direction.
· Promote statutory compliance.
· Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes.
· Interpret mining operational plan and production results.
· Implement operations effectiveness model and practice.
· Provide input into functional planning.
· Remain up to date with micro- and macro-economic conditions.
· Analyze production asset performance trends against required objectives, implement corrective actions where needed.
· Implement cost control system.
· Internal and external stakeholder relations.
· Provide highly specialized support to various stakeholders.
· Participate in and contribute to the workforce planning process.
· Team development and training.
