Salary: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00

Bonus Description: Commitment Incentive of $10,000 paid out quarterly in the first year of employment.

Must-Haves

1. Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) is required
2. Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
3. American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required
4. Minimum of three years supervisory experience (Manager role or above) in the Emergency Department, within the last five years required.

Nice-To-Haves

1. Master's degree (MSN, MHA, etc.) is preferred
2. Experience working in a community hospital Emergency Department is preferred

Job Description

The Director of Emergency Services organizes, directs, and supervises the functions of clinical and procedural units within the Emergency Department. This includes following policy and procedures; maintaining safe staffing levels; supplies and equipment at sufficient levels; and efficient patient throughput. Develops, implements, and manages the department budget. Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development, and assures employees complete required annual competencies. Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure. Communicates important information to the CNO and other Administrative Team members as needed.

As such, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities: Staff development, evidence-based clinical practice; personnel resource/productivity management; fiscal management; patient quality, safety, and performance improvement; and regulatory compliance.

The Emergency Department consists of 14 rooms, with a current renovation underway to expand to 20 rooms; with an estimated completion of December 2025.
