Medical Lab Tech Blood Bank Supervisor

Location: Las Cruces, NM

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000

Must-Haves

1. Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science

2. MLS or equivalent. ASCP certification preferred.

3. 2 years experience working in a Blood Bank in an acute care facility.

4. Have knowledge of AABB standards preferred.

Nice-To-Haves

1. Experience with Joint Commission Laboratory requirements

2. Strong communication skills

3. Experience with Quality assurance procedures.

4. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Job Description

The Medical Lab Scientist (Med Tech) performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. This position is a working Supervisor position for Blood Bank. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department. Responsible for regulatory compliance.
