Occupational Therapist
Job Description:
Intercare Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Morgan Hill, California. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits.
As an Occupational Therapist at our facility, you will work closely with patients of all ages to help them improve their daily living skills and achieve greater independence. You will be responsible for evaluating patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities, and creating individualized treatment plans to address their specific needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine patients' functional abilities and needs
- Developing and implementing treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life
- Providing direct therapy services to patients, including activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and speech therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure the best outcomes
- Educating patients and their families on strategies for managing daily tasks and promoting independence
- Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of treatment plans and goals
- Staying current with advancements in occupational therapy techniques and technologies through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility to obtain a license in California
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a clinical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Passion for helping patients improve their quality of life and achieve their full potential.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary Range: Up to $60 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
